Success Stories!

I can't tell you how happy and proud we are when we receive an adoption request for one of our cats or dogs. That being said, you should see us dance through the house when an adoption application gets approved! It is a truly happy day for all of us when one of our friends finds a home of their very own. Don't get me wrong -- we love them and miss them when they are gone, but our biggest regret is that there simply are not enough hours in the day to give each and every animal all of the love and attention that they deserve. We do our best, but we know when they go to a forever home with a family of their very own, they will be, if not the sole recipient, one of the lucky few who get all the love and attention of their new person or family.

Please, if you adopt a cat or dog from us, drop us an update or picture occasionally. We love to hear about how our furchildren are doing and look forward to updating this page with new pictures and stories about their lives. TEENY AND TINY (DEXTER)

Teeny and Tiny (Dexter) were found in an Ingles parking lot running loose when they were just six or seven weeks old. It is believed that they are litter mates, and they are very attached to each other. Teeny and Tiny are only available to be adopted together. They are approximately six or seven months old.

Teeny is the female. She's a tabby and white petite girl with a sweet personality. She stands up to her brother though and will not hesitate to swat and hiss at him when he gets on her nerves! She's affectionate and likes to cuddle, is inquisitive and at times fearless. Our vet almost fell in love with her.

Tiny has two names because his foster family can't agree on what his name is! He's a black male, bigger than his sister and loves to chase her and try to beat up on her. He's a little shyer than she is though, and is more likely to hang back and let her take the initiative. He also likes to be cuddled and play.

Teeny and Tiny were adopted together into a wonderful home full of children in Pickens, South Carolina. They were welcomed with open arms when they came for their home visit, and the children of the house spend their time vying for the attention of Teeny and Tiny! They are now beloved pets of a wonderful family, and that is all we can ask for!

EGG ROLL

ADOPTED! Egg Roll's story is very sad for a sweet kitten that's only eight months old. He lived with a family consisting of his human Mom and two human sisters, 11 and 13. Unfortunately Mom got sick and then died in early March.

His human sisters now have to go and live with their Aunt, who lives far north and says that Egg Roll cannot come live with them. This has been a terrible time for everyone in the family, including Egg Roll, who is very confused. He is now in need of a new home with a new family who will love him and care for him. His human sisters also request that his new family send them pictures and updates every now and again, as they will miss him very much and never forget him.

Egg Roll has gone to live with a wonderful family in Georgia and has a feline sisfur and a canine sisfur and they are all getting along very well. It is sad that Egg Roll's first family was not able to keep him and had to endure such tragedies themselves, but knowing that he is now with a family that will love him and care for him is one less thing they have to worry about in this time of sorrow.

TYRIA

ADOPTED!!!

Tyria is a year old, very sweet with one green eye and one blue eye. Tyria was found laying in a yard at an abandoned home when she was only 9 months old and she had just had a litter of kittens! We believe she is an Angora mix because of her incredibly soft and fine fur. Unlike most white cats with blue or dual colored eyes, Tyria is not deaf. Tyria loves to be a lap cat. She also likes to lay in the window and snooze or watch the world go by.

Tyria has been adopted into a wonderful home in Simpsonville, SC. Her new family is a couple with three small children, and Tyria and her calm personality has been instrumental in helping the children to learn about pets and in one case overcome their fear of cats. Her new name is Penny and the family is very much in love with their new member!

BUTTERBALL

ADOPTED!

Butterball was found on Thanksgiving Day 2014 in a barn when he was about 5 weeks old, which puts his birth date at mid October 2014. He was yelling for his Mom so loud that his rescuers heard him two fields away! They weren't able to care for him so they brought him to us, and now he's a big kitten and ready for his furever home. We believe because of his beautiful thick grey fur and striking grey eyes that he is probably Russian Blue Mix. Whatever he is, he thinks he is fierce! He will run and play until he drops into a nap utterly exhausted, then he's up and going again. He loves to play with other cats, and will wrestle and stalk them. He's so much fun to watch.

Butterball has been adopted into a wonderful home in Woodstock, GA where he has three cats and a dog to play with! His new Mom is thrilled with him and enjoys playing games with him as well. He has tunnels and stairs to explore and a screened porch to sit in and watch the birds and squirrels. As we told him when his application was approved, he's shaken the small town dust off of his feet and gone to be a city kitty!

PRISCILLA

ADOPTED! Priscilla's mom literally brought her to us. I was working at a business on a very busy five lane artery when I see a cat cross this road at 3:00 in the afternoon with a kitten in her mouth. She brought the kitten to the bushes in front of our business, then after a few minutes, she left and crossed the road again. She did this three more times! After we were sure she had moved all of her kittens, we scooped them up and then trapped her. Elvis and Col. Tom, renamed Otto, soon found homes but Priscilla and her sister Lisa Marie are still with us. Priscilla is a small cat with a loving personality and who occasionally likes to talk. She has a high, chirpy voice and most often uses it when she first wakes up. She's extremely intelligent and loves spending time laying in your lap or on your legs watching TV with you or watching you while you work on the computer.

Priscilla has been adopted into a wonderful home in Pendleton, SC. She has a new cat friend and two new dog friends to live with. Her new family loves cats so much that they built cat steps up their wall in their bedroom, and made a perch at the top! Priscilla also has a new human brother and two sisters to love and play with as well. They tell us that Priscilla likes to lay on the loft bed and watch TV.

CHAMP

ADOPTED!!!

Champ is a fiesty little guy who is lots of fun to play with! His Mom was living in an outdoor cat colony way up in the country, but the man who fed them didn't get them spayed or neutered, so when he passed away and rescuers came to help, they found lots of pregnant mamas! Luckily for us they are all really friendly and these kittens love to be petted and played with! They have been raised from birth around small children and dogs, so should not have a problem with either.

Champ was adopted by a great local family with a young daughter that fell in love with him. She is looking forward to dressing him up and putting him in a stroller!

CHABI

Chabi is a fiesty little girl who is lots of fun to play with! Her Mom was living in an outdoor cat colony way up in the country, but the man who fed them didn't get them spayed or neutered, so when he passed away and rescuers came to help, they found lots of pregnant mamas! Luckily for us they are all really friendly and these kittens love to be petted and played with! They have been raised from birth around small children and dogs, so should not have a problem with either.

Chabi is a fun little acrobatic kitten that jumps around, chases balls, and is an absolute blast to watch. When she gets tired she loves to cuddle up next to you or on your chest and purr in your ear. Chabi and her littermates were born April 26, 2015, and are up to date on shots.

Chabi was adopted by a wonderful family in the area who spoil her and make her feel like a princess!
